DENAFRIPS 12th FPGA Firmware Update for Terminator II / Plus DAC

Dear friends,

Greetings!

Thank you for your patience! We are pleased to announce that the FPGA Firmware for the Terminator II and Terminator Plus DACs is ready for release.

Initially, we had planned to roll out the firmware in mid-May 2023, but we have made the decision to delay its release. This is because we have been working closely with DENAFRIPS to develop a firmware that combines the best aspects of both products: bug fixes, new features, and the exceptional sound quality that DENAFRIPS is renowned for. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

It's ready, right now!

It's worth noting that there are three(3) FPGA models/variants of the Terminator II/Plus DAC. We understand that Terminator II/Plus DAC is large and heavy, making it inconvenient to access its interior. Don't worry, we have a solution that might eliminate the need for you to provide us with a photo of the interior, as long as you can provide us with the order number and/or the ship date of the DAC from Vinshine Audio to you.

By providing the order number and/or ship date, we can accurately determine the FPGA chip model used in your DAC. However, it's important to consider that there may be a gray/transition period between different chip variants. If your ship date falls within this period, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we will require you to share a photo of the interior of the DAC with us. This will allow us to provide you with the correct Firmware Update Tool (FUT) download link.

FAQ

FPGA Chip Model/Variant

The Firmware Update Tool (FUT) is built specifically for the DAC model (i.e Terminator II / Terminator Plus, etc) and the FPGA model (i.e. EP4CE22E, EP4CE22F, EP4CE22F with LVDS Chip, etc). It is extremely cruicial to share with us a clear photo of the FPGA chip in the DAC, and tell us which DAC you are using - in order for us to provide the correct FUT to you.
