Cables

Last of the things that always matter.

Mains cords, interconnects, digital leads and jumpers. They join every pillar above, and they belong here in the order: after the boxes are right, not instead of getting them right.

Do you actually need this?

Do you need them? Competent ones, yes, from the start. Expensive ones, only once everything above is settled. Buying cable to rescue a system is the most common mistake we see, and the most expensive.

What to check before you spend

Ask what the cable is for. Replacing something failing or the wrong length is maintenance, and worth doing today. Replacing something that works is an upgrade, and belongs after the boxes are right. Check the terminations you need before the brand: an XLR you cannot plug in is an expensive lesson. We will tell you when a cable is the wrong answer.

In plain language: Balanced and single-ended, Cryogenic treatment, Bi-wiring
