Do this after the basics are right, not before.
Worth doing after the basics are right. A linear-supplied switch between your router and your streamer. The effect is real and we have measured it. It is also the last thing on this page, because it refines a system rather than building one.
Do you need it? Only if you stream, and only once everything above is settled. If your system is not yet right, a switch will not make it right, and we would rather you spent the money at the wall.
Only relevant if you stream. Find where your router sits and how the signal reaches the streamer, because a long run through a house is a different problem from a switch in the same rack. Then be honest about the order: if the mains and the supplies are untouched, we would rather you spent this money at the wall and came back to the switch afterwards.
In plain language: Network switch
